After a slow start things really seem to be moving along with lightning speed now.
If they continue with this pace it is almost topped out when the Olympics start.

I hope so, that's one of the main advantages of steel construction.

Could this actually be T/O by the olympics? That'd be incredible!

I don't think so. That would be too good.

I'd say by July this will have start to have filled out at least. Nowhere near topped out but we'll have a much better appreciation of the size and shape at that point.

Aon stockholders approve London move

Aonís stockholders have voted in favour of redomiciling its headquarters from Chicago to London. The move was approved by 98% of Aonís stockholders.

Aon is set to found a new UK-based group holding company, Aon UK, which will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange in place of the present listing for Aon Corporation.

The broker expects the share deal to close around 2 April. Chicago will remain as Aonís American business base, and the brokerís tax jurisdiction will shift to the UK from Delaware.

Aon has listed a number of reasons for the change, none of them tax, but a strong impetus is likely to have come from the pending new tax regime for controlled foreign companies (the CFC rules).

Aon chief executive Greg Case and about half of Aonís executive team will relocate to London. This includes chief financial officer Christa Davies, Aon Risk Solutions chief executive Steve McGill, chief operating officer Michael OíConnor and general counsel Peter Lieb.

Great news for both London, and the wider UK economy. These sorts of boosts are pretty monumental right now.

Time for the UK to start really bouncing back.

Major pre-lets are essential to most projects this size.
