the shard hasn't become one yet, but the gherkin, london eye, o2 arena and wembley stadium are the modern icons of london.

Are the colored windows of the restrooms transparent? If so, they will be one of the most stunning restrooms on the planet! I would love to take a sh*t there !

Look at the plan again and you’ll notice that the cubicles don’t have windows.

Okay your right (and maybe it's for the better). But on the way to the cubicle, in the washing room, you can look out, can't you? If not, then it's a missed opportunity. Obviously not for the lower stories, where the elevators fly by and privacy is not protected, but for the higher stories it would be gorgeous.

Easily the best tower in London. Fine proportions, fine cladding.

Agreed with above! ^

This shot looks amazing... absolutely fantastic. London is really getting a true definitive skyline. It looks beautiful. The Leadenhall is such a masterpiece - an all round fantastic skyscraper.

And in regards to the comments about modern landmarks - I believe that the skyline ITSELF will become a landmark - headed by the Gherkin and the Shard - as these will probably be the most recognizable towers.

This City never ceases to amaze me... <3

I love the cladding even tho it's super transparent it's also quite dark, you have the Heron building with lighter blue glass, this with dark blue glass and the gherkin mixing both together.

SO143's latest post.... :O

Amazing photo. Amazing view. Amazing angle... argh just all round amazing.

The leadenhall at that angle looks so great. Now that they have pretty much finished the skeleton, will the cladding speed up? O_o

I'm guessing it should as technically speaking as they go up, they have less to clad due to the shape? I might be wrong though....?

The top floors look pretty empty in that photo. I guess they still have to install the mech stuff and then clad it, which would take some time.
