I did live in uae for 9 years

all i am saying is at that time i would have never seen abu dhabi get a skyscraper this tall

we must also remeber that there are still 4 other supertalls to be officially anounced for this island. They are the 4 with massive spire if the model is anything to go by. In the site render above they are the 4 in the top left corner.Rummer is they are 75F each at about 375m

Giles do you have any idea why these are so expensive.. especially when you compare it to similar properties in Dubai

I think cos its the first of the freehold properties and also as there is not as big a building boom in AD as there is in Dubai and therefore the scale of economy works agaist the developer. I think as AD picks up pace and the work starts getting as big and impressive as dubai then construction costs and therefore selling costs would stabalize. One needs to remember AD is a big of an "imature" market compared to Dubai wioth everything form Consultsnts , contractors, suppliers and even so far as the brans "Abu Dhabi" which is nowhere as well known as Dubai.
In 18months AD will have more and bigger projects than Dubai, mark my words as I know of loads of Development guys being poched from Dubai to move there.
AD is the next big thing
