In my country (France) there is quite a lot of islamic people on building construction. And usually, if it's possible, the workers don't take pause at midday and finish one hour earlier.

Conclusion => construction doesn't stop during the ramadan but it's going slower due to physical reasons

don't think a glassy twisted space tower would fit in Mecca . .this one i like more and more! and it is MASSIVE! don't think this pic went into this thread

Its taller than the surrounding hills. And it is sort of the same colour so its blending in nicely

I wonder it is the biggest after the construction? As I see it, it's so big it can accommodate almost all the pilgrims in Mecca. I wonder if it's going to beat the proposed Moscow's Crystal Tower by Foster and Partners.

wow, never realized how HUGE this tower is. the last picture posted by Saudi_guy really shows its scale when compaired to the mountines in the background.

its a mountain made of glass and steel. Everytime I come back to this thread this thing blow up by a few hundred feet.
