Those pictures are incredible, I can't deny that it must feel very powerful to walk in such an enormous crowd with people of the same beliefs.

Let's stay ontopic or this thread gets closed again.

Ok, back on topic, two questions. Does the construction stop during the Hajj? Will the tower partially open before being finished 100%, or will they wait for the spire, clock, etc. to complete?

please keep on topic. be tolerant to others but nevertheless don't forget:
'Toleranz heißt, die Intoleranz nicht zu tolerieren. (Karl Popper)'
('Tolerance means not to tolerate intolerance.')

as i mentioned before, i think this building is amazing. of course they could have chosen a better place but maybe it's this very special location which gives the abraj al-bait the icing on the cake.

Both are Arabic numerals ! The one on the right was mostly used in the Middle-East and that on the left in Northern-Africa. Europeans adopted the latter because it was more convenient to use with Arabic modern mathematics (algebra) than the roman numerals that prevailed for more than one and a half millenia.

+1

Definetly there are in total 7 towers.

6 of them are 220m+ and one of them is over 550m+

If that isn't a mini skyline, i dont know what is.

currently over 400 m maybe over 420 m, virtually it is the second Middle Eastern building to reach the world top 10 now, probably surpassing Jin mao and Trump Tower.

This building is just so WRONG!

It's the wrong location and detracts from the jewel of the city. I hope the Saudi King comes to his sences and puts an end to this been built any higher
