Awesome! ...

Some of you are so ignorant... Y'all should stop! If you don't like what you see - fine... but don't be so disrespectful.

Great update, Although I don't see a lot of progress, probably due to Hajj

Thanks abumuhannadh!

Keep up our great work.

Finally "we" got rapporteurs from all great constructions sites, like you (AAB), mono (TST), imre (Dubai), zorg (PC) and so on. Only one for Shanhai Tower I'm missing.

Great close-ups, abumuhannadh! So construction has switched from concrete only to steel with concrete core. That overhanging transition is remarkable, especially those boxes on both sides. Further up, some beams already indicate the next jut of the facade. And the core could've reached the highest regular floors IMO, before the "clock tier" commences.

The more I see it, the more I like it. This project is like a behemoth, a metaphorical name to be used for any extremely large or powerful entity.

This really should have been built in Jeddah or Riyad, not Mecca

Disturbing. Looks like a totalitarian Las Vegas casino. Despite the Islamic motifs, I think Stalin would approve.

I always thought it looked like the Moscow University building.

For me... It just looks really tacky. Islamic architecture is usually very refined and elegant, but I can't say that about this building.

^ agreed it should have been built in a different part of town with a train running from it to a station at mecca. Even though im not muslim if i was id want it to look as close to original and sacred as possible. This thing takes out the holyness of it and just makes it look like any other part of the world or even worse.
