Wow! What a massive building. Thanks for pictures. I can't believe it's still got another 500 feet or so to go.

Hey Culwalla why do you use the Empire State Building as a comparison in so many diagrams. Did you visit it and fell in love with it? Or do you see it as a great milestone (which I think it isn't) or what's the reason for giving it such a prominent place in all of your diagrams.

On topic: actually those aren't all small residential buildings, but because they stand beside this monster they all get dwarved.

A very "hilly" city
The clock should be seen not only in all parts of Mecca,
but from Egypt and Sudan too!!!

Hey -King of Construction
If you don't think the ESB wasn't a great milestone,
then you don't know much about skyscrapers.

Hey -Culwulla
Great diagram (as usual)

As in most people cant go and see this building because you have to be in their religion to get into the city, therefore not many people know about this!

Yes it's true, nonbelievers like me will never see this building in real. Sad.

However, at the beginning I didn't like this monster Big Ben, but now I think it's allright.
Incredible pace indeed.

i am not sure i will ever travel to USA, (i know it is not same thing, but what difference it makes if you can never see it) i would love to see ESB and many other places, but i am happy atleast i can see it in pictures and realistic 3D models.

How far away from the building does the exclusion zone start, where only muslims are allowed in?
You might still be able to see the building out side this zone because it's so big.

Also, I'm pretty sure the mast on the Empire State Building was added later, so its original height when it was built was 381m.

Hey I saw the signs with muslims only, but how can they know you really are a muslim? Can't you just say you are one...
