Yeah, if you say the Shahada in front of the police, wouldn't they have to let you in?

wait, some non muslims engineer must have been allowed to build these huge projects, i know for a fact that Bin Laden Construction group has non muslims working for them. So yeah the only way for non muslims to get to Makkah or Medina is when they actually work on these projects

you sound like there are no Muslim engineers who could design a super structure, please note that i don't dis agree this project might have been drawn by a non Muslim.

^ofcourse there are, but this huge project must have involved high amount of experties and technologies, so there is a good chance non muslims are involved.

also i watched a documentary on Makkah which said non muslims are allowed in the city on speical permits

usually I never post and I shut my mouth when the posts are useless about this project and most of you know that almost every few pages, we go again to the same old point "why non muslims are not allowedin makkah" blah blah blah....

Ok whatever.... this is our religion and this is how we are. If you dont like it, then no need to visit this project.

Non muslims are not allowed Only in two cities in this world.... I do not believe that non muslims should be angry that much cause of it.

Now why I decided to reply? cause of your post and how I felt that u r almost sure about sharing non muslim engineers in building this project.

As I am a reliable source of this project and I am very close to this project, Non muslims shared only the design but no non muslim engineers shared building this monster.

The contractrs of this project are as the following:

Saudi Binladin Group: (All are muslim engineers in the project)

Sl Rasch: German contractor for special and lightweight structures including clocks, tents and its owners converted to islam long time ago such as mohammad rasch).

Cimtas: Turkish contractor and working on steel structure part (top of tower) and all of them in the project are muslims).

Non muslims shared the design as I mentioned before and also shared the manufacturing of the clock and this is also a huge work. We are still proud that we could build this monster together does not matter who designed it or who built it. We all are humen!!!

Firstly i am Yemeni/american muslim

second, like you said we are all humans but i find a bit weird that the government allows almost all non muslim brands in the city like Starbucks, Mcdonalds etc... even the shopping mall there had all the expensive western non muslims brands, yet non muslims can't even touch the city???

Makkah in my opinion is hardly a spritual city anymore because of so much western commercialization going on there, only masjid al haram is spritual. i dont understand what are they trying to do to rest of the city. They have totally erased the old charm of Makkah.

When i go to Sana, I feel the old charm still maintained there, but Makkah has lost it sorry to say, many muslims are pissed of about this, but we can't really say anything to the saudi royals.

Anyways this is discussion for a different thread

Old charm ? How old are you, 70 ? Mecca has been this way since before you were even born..

Btw if Yemen had the money Sana'a wouldn't be this way

^ i have pics from Makkah from my grandfathers time, and no, Thats where Yemenies are different from saudis, we like to keep our heritage rather then destorying it and replacing it with starbucks

The attittudes of Yemenis and saudis are really different, thats why our countries never get along despite being neighbours

To not allow entry to a city based on religion or type of person, is wrong!

^ well i would allow them in the city because like i said the city is just a regular city, especially now when they have destoryed much of the historical city, the only place holy is the main mosque and the Kaba, those should be off limits, and i guess during Hajj season the city should be off limits, because of so much crowd

even the quran mentions that the Mosque should be off limits but not the city itself

I m not muslim, Iīll never gona see this city ... but I m not sad.
This building is grotesque. Is a monster in the middle of the dessert.
Why not spend on parks and trees all the money they have?
Thatīs what Makkah needs.

Haha, in the first sentence you say you never were in Mekkah. In the third sentence you think you know what the city needs. Of course you could be a mekka-expert but somehow i think youre just talking crap.
