Guys, don't you think by comparing ashiqulhuur pics with Alharthi (last pic), that the difference between clock sizes is huge!!!

ibib, looking at my diagram compared to your diagram of planned towers
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4067/...bcaf8f1a_b.jpg

towers 1&2 look about 330m tall.
towers 3,4 &5 are 300m tall.
(thats 5 more supertalls)
all the others range from 230m-270m?

Thanks CULWULLA, I was hoping the 1&2 towers to be supertalls, but since we have 5 out of the 20 towers as supertalls, and the two projects are connected (Abraj albait & Rawabi Abraj albait), we may use the same thread to follow it up in the future, specially that Abraj Albait is almost finished

Is this really planned?
Possible that we will see some redesign here since even the render looks really bumbling
I like the idea though. Without any big buildings on the back side of the tower it is in my opinion a too big difference in height to the buildings behind. The front part facing the kaaba has this nice continuous transition, this project could give the same aspect to the backside of this whole complex.
Anyhow, the clock looks just superb!!

From the sides this building looks so out of proportion. I wish the side towers were taller. Still one hell of a building though!

they have published in all the news channels that the clock is set on the height of 402 m from the ground, plus it's 80 m tall, doesn't that mean the height now is around 482 -485 m??
