Yes, but according to its construction plan the antenna won't be set up right after the steel structure is finished.

its very hard to break the Empire State Building's record when there are so many competing each other.

I appreciate all taller buildings mentioned above. Competition always leads to better results and new expectations. I'm a fan of Abraj Al Bait as some of you may have noticed, but it would be really boring if it stays in the second rank for long.

That's about 10 days, probably they'll be done with the clock only and not the floors above. The hands have been moved in the last pics from 3:30 to 4:15, maybe they are testing the mechanism. The article mentions that every hand weighs 4 tons.

It does look a bit like tyre tracks, doesn't it?

EDIT: Nevermind, I thought you were referring to the writing under the swords.

me neither

they could choose a better font, or better, get rid of that writing altogether. do they need to write everywhere that it is an endowment project? did they get pissed off by people like the ones in this forum who shout "money...money" to the pockets?

It's a bit funny how so many people complain about the tower's old looking design. I mean, what else would you want? Try to imagine a modern glass tower next to the mosque, it'd be atrocious.
