It is on topic. Just discussing how it is a copycat of bad American design. Perhaps even a slight copycat of the Clock Tower at the Palace of Westminster.

the current model needs an update as well:

http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?buildingID=34622

Its not my drawing. Its someone elses with the username of Dapperheid Tower. He is making a paper model of the Abraj Al Bait Towers at 1:1700 scale. He did a small diagram of it(here's how it originally looked like: http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...clocktower.png) but i just copied and paste parts of it to make it look like what the Abraj Al Bait was going to look like. I cant wait till this model is done so i can build it myself.

This building makes me want to convert to Islam just to see it. This building enhances the area and gives a very good reference point.

What a gorgeous monster! Blends nicely with the Masjid Al Haram. Looks kinda holy and sacred in its own weird way.

Me too...although to steal and paraphrase Groucho Marx's infamous quote...any organisation that accepts me as a member is not worthwhile joining.

I wonder if there are some non-muslims working in the construction site? Mecca is usually closed for non-muslims, but could muslims build this only by themselves?

It's looking better than the renderings.

Any building with a clock on it is going to resemble Big Ben. The silhouette is reminiscent of the Empire State Building, but I'd say the architectual details of the building are a uniquely Arabian style.

Big Ben, Empire State Building, Arabian details... I'd say the building is human
