Great pictures there.
Whilst you can't deny the enormity and wow-factor of this thing, there's something about it that I don't like that I can't quite put my finger on. I realise there has been a lot of attention to detail, and that the materials are of very good quality such as gold.......

...but it still looks kinda tacky in some respects. Like it's not real. Like a plastic toy. I think it might be the way the clock segment is 'stuck' on top of the main tower portion. Just looks.......wrong.

i am back from Hajj. and this thing is REALLY massive. remember some people worrying here about it getting more attention then the Kaaba. so i was observing while making Tawaf, and it doesn't. there is occasional looking to it but only few i caught starring at it.

i have some pics, but i guess because it is Hajj season, pictures have been pouring in here, and wonderful too. still, i will contribute my part too. inshallah. keep looking.

It's unbelievable how much of the city they've cleared out. I wonder how long before they decide to level out all those rocky hills to make more room?

God... they might as well go all the way and build an arcology in Mecca. It starts to resemble one already in that picture.
