A project that size shouldn't be constructed so close to the mosque. It kinda ruins it. For some reason those high rise complex reminds me of Vegas.

Opinions are like elbows, everyone has two. How about this one: It does look 'Vegasy' (to some), so stop trying to tell others they should stop expressing opinions about the design?

Grow a pair. Telling people who are free to express any opinion to 'stop' is insulting to me. Reading someones' opinion, agreeing or disagreeing with it, then moving on, is a much nicer way to 'get along' isn't it?

I think the building is an absolute necessity in this place. Room for pilgrims is its' Reason to be! The top is however a waste of space and a little too flashy. Just like Christian churches built with golden covered altars, it goes a little too far. Just like other buildings in sin city.

Please respect my right to an opinion. Then move on.

Maybe we heard that "opinion" too often in this thread. Again, Las Vegas has copied Islamic Architecture, not the other way around. American-centric points of view ruin this thread.

You are correct, there is nothing unique or new in Vegas, but maybe overzealous national pride can cloud others judgement of what is appropriate to build next to a religious site?

Regardless, it is there and will stand as a monument and a hotel.

P.S. Nice Mustang as an avatar Muttie.
