yes its like building built 80 years ago are allowed to look classic, but modern buildings arent allowed to have a classic touch for most people. and then they say ts because of achitecture and not history haha

I really don't have a problem with people not liking this building. While I can see where they're coming from, I happen to think this building is amazing and it's especially exciting to see all of the amazing work being done at the top ... especially the crescent! I feel like a kid in a virtual candy store. Wahoo!

Mate, I'm sorry, but this isn't neo-classicism in the least. If anything it's an orgy of post-modern cues pastiched on various historic generalities.

It's an interesting building, but please don't go calling it neo-anything. That would be unfair.

Neo-Classicism, for instance, is modern day work that takes on a Classic styling.

What I'm trying to say is this building is more of a pastiche, not a neo-classical or what have you building. It has some very post-modern elements mixed in with pastiched classicism.

خبرني - صدر حديثاً عن دار الثلوثية كتاب "المقيس بين السبت والخميس " للدكتور - عبدالرحمن بن عبدالله المشيقح " عضو مجلس الشورى " والكتاب يتناول بعض الموضوعات المتعلقة بالوقت والتوقيت ومعرفة مدلولات الأيام من القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية الشريفة ، وعند العرب وغيرهم من الأمم . ويتناول أيام الأسبوع تاريخها ومعانيها .
يحتوي الكتاب أيضا شيئاً من فلسفة الوقت والتوقيت لتشكل مدخلاً إلى مفهوم خصائص الليالي والأيام بدقائقها وأجزائها .وقد تطرق ايضا لعطلة نهاية الاسبوع في بلدان العالم موضحاً أهمية الأخذ بإجازة يومي الخميس والجمعة التي تتبعها المملكة العربية السعودية ، مع بيان عطلة الأسبوع والجغرافيا الزمنية ، وأهمية تفضيل اليوم السابق ليوم الجمعة عن اليوم اللاحق له كعطلة أسبوعية ، مع توضيح عدم اتخاذ يوم السبت ضمن العطلة الأسبوعية لخطورة هذا التوجه على مختلف النواحي التاريخية والثقافية والاجتماعية . ويؤيد ذلك التوجة النمو و التطور الاقتصادي الكبير الذي شهدته وتعيشه المملكة العربية السعودية .
والكتاب له أهمية كبيره إذ يساعد القارئ على معرفة الوقت وأهميته وطرق الحفاظ علية واستثماره والاستفادة منه على أكمل وجه فيما يفيد وينفع ، بدلا من إضاعة أو تفريط فيه أو الانشغال بأعمال غير مثمره .
وقد ذكر المؤلف أن مكة المكرمة تقع في مركز اليابسة ، مما أوحى إلية بفكرة أن يكون غلاف الكتاب يحمل صورة للكره الأرضية تعلوها ساعة مكة .
