Mecca-photographers (looks at Asyqul'huur), can you please take an updated picture of the site in the photo? I've long wanted to see how the complex would look from that view after completion.

Thanks! - Terima Kasih

Again: Please stop comparing Abraj Al-Bait to Big Ben tower or others and making a city vs. city out of this. If you don't like this tower, please articulate it in a civilized way. Trollposts may get deleted immediately, so please stop the efforts. Further posts in that direction with an offensive approach might lead to sanctions like infractions, brigs or bans.

Cordial thanks for your attention and understanding.

i don't think comparing is a problem itself. the problem is the offensive approach.
we had a whole World cup here comparing one building to other :P

thanks for the moderating, appreciate it very much.

And here a photo I found in a book on Islamic art...

The place quite changed since then!!

you need to learn Arabic,

i mean Bush isn't really a bush, and Dick Cheney isn't really a "dick"
or, are they?

No, Cheneys first name is Richard, but in some way he's a dick. Anyway, that's not the place here.

Mecca could be considered a beautiful place once. Now it's all flooded with terribly bland concrete buildings and this monstrosity called Abraj Al-Bait. A shame for the holiest place of a world religion, really. Just imagine someone would have done this to the Vatican...
