Not far off. Second, actually, if you count by floor area:

with all due respect, this monstrosity looks like it belongs in Las Vegas with all the other gaudy, fake looking structures

There's so much hate for this building but I love it, the clock tower is a bit out of proportion but it doesn't bother me enough to discount it. I really like the color scheme and the roofing, and the facade looks to be good quality. I love density and this behemoth has it, 17000000sf! If this sucker was in a western city and the crown was more culturally accepted, say art deco, I think we would be seeing a much different reaction, even if it was ill proportioned.

I am very happy that this project is almost completed. I just wish the Saudi royal family will stop destroying so many historical sites in Saudi Arabia in order to build modern facilities. I know they are firm believers in Wahabism, and that it plays a role in the destruction of heritage sites, but I honestly believe that Wahabism is simply wrong.

It seems odd to single out just one religious sect as being 'wrong', when they all are.

actually the mathematical probability of any religious sect being right is marginal, but even for that marginal chance that the spaghetti monster or any other religious figurine exists, it should be noted that they "most likely are wrong", not "are wrong".

Wahhabism - only the tool in policy of USA on destabilization of the whole regions, such as Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and at last, Syria. By the principle - divide and dominate. Therefore USA the enemy No. 1 for the whole world - all the rest - derivatives.

As many people, I suppose, I would have never even known about this exoti c skyscraper if our school didn't organise a little group trip to muslim comunity in our town.
So, hello Mecca
