This would look better in LAS VEGAS! This is truly a monstrosity. And making it 601 m doesn't really help anything. It just made it to the megatall club, joining Burj Khalifa. So sad. You either make it a building or a temple. You can't have it both ways.

It is. I am insulting this building and whoever money obsessed morons behind it
This building is ripping off muslims all over the world. Like what im saying, it is pure religion commercialization

Simple logic. You wouldnt build such things if mecca doesnt considered as holy city. Thats why we cant compare it with other cities around the world

This building is a Waqf, which means all its revenues will go to the development and maintenance of the Haram.

How many rooms are in that building? And what does it cost to stay there? I'm guessing a 'mosque" view commands a premuim, just as an oceanfront room does at the beach!

Yes, because muslims dont eat, sleep, buy clothes or consume.... sigh. Nor does Mecca have any 'normal' residence which live there all year and work there. My god man...

Just like any other people in the world they like luxury when they can afford it. So i do not see the problem in that - more and more muslims can actually afford luxury. Besides, their religion does not prohibit them from consuming like normal beings, nor does their religion prohibit them from making their stay in Mecca comfortable.

I'm skeptic about it
If i'm not mistaken this building is funded by foreign muslim companies. It's an endowment right? (i cant believr it is as it's all hotels and shopping malls)
Why would i believe saudi kings use the revenues for anoher development if they can simply get money abroad for 'religion purpose'?

I would be more impressed if they actually use the money for feeding the poors in africa

You cannot build just out of faith, those times are long gone. And what's the problem with making a profit? all religions do, at least they're making something really nice for their followers.

So please stop this off-topic nonsense.

That is seriously amazing. I can't see any other building in the world doing anything like this. Most of the places, what appears to be a spire would not actually have any functionality, but I guess here, this structure is a genuine functional part of the building. Speechless.

I kinda wonder why they decided to put a desk with a computer at the highest floor of the crest, though. When you're up there, aren't there more interesting things to do than surfing the web?

I wouldn't call it an occupied floor just because you can climb into it. That would mean you could call the spire of BK occupied. It definitely is very interesting and unique though
