One cant really make out how massive it is when glancing at the pictures, because of the Hotel & the Tower on the ends of it, but its looking stunning.

LoooL! Thats funny, but the land I guess will be graded... Its going to change the landscape. But, its still too far into the future. The northern expansion project is still in the pipeline.

PURE TROLLING beyond belief. Sorry fellas but this might take the record as the most trolled thread out there. Maybe somebody else can begin another thread that is actually relevant to the project.

I do respect the right to one's faith but let us keep it out of the skyscrapers threads. This also goes for those who attack religion. Keep that opinion to yourselves as well.

How about discussing the building?

the building is awfull....and one of the most important aspect of architecture is the funcionallity of the construction, and how they match with their surroundings, etc...and it can be seen as this mass of concrete doesn´t match nor shows respect with the surroundings where it is being built...this bulding is crap arquitecture...they are building a new QABA to compete with the real one in the centre of the mosque....I coudnt imagine a thing like that in rome...

i think there is nothing wrong with the design of Abraj Al-Bait. The tower contains lots of trace of Islamic art

IMO there is something wrong - the clock. I don't like it at all. I think the version without clock was much better, cause otherwise I find the architecture beautiful...

With the modern age,
they should of made the clock digital....

I guess it would be very annoying if after
a power failure,
it would keep flashing "12:00" LOL

I still don't believe they can get that clock to work. But I hope they will prove me wrong.

Are they going to build any other supertalls there? Or is this one going to stand alone? It really looks like it was accidentally built in a wrong place.
