@Tom Green :
That was about the only building i was sure of locationwise then.

There is now a water pond around the building. Around the oval that is.
The building next to is is the Hall of the people. And next to that is tianamen square. North of th square is the forbidden city. But there are no real highrises in that area,

no, that's not Olympic village. Olympic villege is located in the north BJ (near north 5th ring road), the CCTV tower is in the west (West 3rd ring). The tallest underconstructed building is located in BJ's CBD area, which is in the East of Beijing (East 3rd ring)

I'm pretty sure you already have a map of Beijing. Take a look on the huge road running between the Forbidden City and the Tian'anmen Square. That's the Dongchang'an Jie. Now follow that road for about 2.5 to 3.5km in the eastern direction until you reach the district of Chaoyang. That's the business district where all the highrises are u/c. The Silvertie Center for example can be found at the intersection of Dongsanhuan Zhonglu and Jianguomenwai Dajie right in the middle of it.

Here's the map with shows the Chaoyang district, where almost all of the highrises are.

Ni hao
I am right now in Beijing. I have updates from the most buildings. The only problem is the WTC3 Tower. There are dozens of big construction sites. General Huo can you please explain me in detail where the building is located. A completed neighbour syscraper with pictures (if i dont know the name of the building) would nice.
