As you can see, it's really boring in London at the moment - hardly any proposals!

In my opinion, London is one of the greatest, most dynamic and most vibrant cities in the world.

For global importance and influence, the only genuine rivals are New York, Tokyo and Paris.

If we're talking about skyscrapers and other projects, then London has undoubtedly one of the most impressive lists for any city - only Dubai, Moscow, Shanghai and a couple of other places can match the quality and quantity of London's high rise boom.

(in my opinion...)

Maybe London is the most vibrant and dinamic city in the world but certainly it isn't the most beautiful for me

beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I say let Paris and Rome be the 'beautiful' cities..........give me London's dynamism and vibrancy

Why do some Londoners always feel the need to belittle other cities to feel good about their own?

How is he "belittling" Paris or Rome? He's merely saying that he prefers London's dynamism and vibrancy over the beauty of Paris and Rome, which I can well understand. Having been to Paris myself, I agree that it's far more 'beautiful' than London - but London definitely has more energy and dynamism.

He said they were beautiful cities. What's so bad about that.

well, i didnt mean to belittle Paris or Rome.............it is certainly true that Paris has its Vibrant and Dynamic areas (it is of course famous for its North African influences).......i'm sure Rome is both dynamic and vibrant too.

But i stand my my claim that London is more vibrant and dynamic than Paris or Rome.....and that Paris and Rome are far more beautiful than London (although London has some extremly beautiful areas that are comparable to Paris.....e.g. Mayfair, Kensington e.t.c. )

If 'beauty' means to you old architecture with no evolutionary mix, then yes, Paris and Rome are more 'beautiful' than London.

It just doesn't to me. London is beautiful to me in a way Paris and Rome never will be.

And anyway, London is hardly ugly.
