Excatly, this is not the downtown and was never ment to be a focal point in the city; that's why I don't see any big problem with it.

A bigger problem is underpasses where cars can turn around.

they will connect the towers in DIFC (which is just next to the current SZR towers) via underground walkways, there is also going to be an underground mall.

that new proposal could indeed be the one next to falcon, or am i not up to date

Wow this is a crazy amount of development! Is there really a need for so many highrises there?

With dubai's population growth alone there would be a all mighty shortage with SZR's 1% lol.

The Al Rafi Complex will not be built as it is since it was refused planning permission due to its height. This has to be because of the new airport restrictions which means the park square tower will definitely be refused permission (or maybe already was). Al Durrah is also in the same area so it could suffer the same fate.
Instead will be a single tower between 50 and 55 floors high

And AltinD, I don't remember "talking the expert", nor did I claim to be an 'expert'. I simply posed a series of questions. The district cooling sounds like a great idea, particularly if it's achieving a 40% energy consumption reduction. UV treated glass is nothing new, however.

These are supposed to be modern buildings for a modern, high-tech city. I'm simply asking where the innovation is. Well, district cooling certainly sounds like an awesome innovation - I'm off to Google it.

Less of the attitude. More of the discussion, please.

dude, if you haven't learned then get this in your head. You cannot criticize Dubai on SSC period. If you do, you're screwed no matter how intelligent or accurate your post is. Unless you want to spend, or rather waste, your time defending your position over and over and over again, don't bother. Just look at what you fancy, disagree in your head and move on. Make it easier on yourself.
