The "Best" airport depends on a lot of things. What is important to some folks is not important to others. I've always like Amsterdam's Schipol airport because the quality of their First Class lounges and the efficiency of the KLM staff. But a lot of folks feel that Schiphol is too spread out.

As for one of the newest and cleanest airports, Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos Airport) is tops. But they should elminate smoking from ALL areas inside the terminal. That habit is SO passe and disgusting! It's about time all European airports outlawed smoking in the terminals. They all like to proclaim how "Green" they are and then they allow one of the dirtiest habits to stink up a nice terminal. Disgusting.

The Europeans developed civilized smoking.....they have to end it themselves

TTG deals with the travel trade rather than tourists, so unless you're involved in the industry, chances are you probably don't know much about it. Since TTG deals with trade customers, they are far better at gauging travel-related benchmarks since they have access to a lot more big-picture data (ie. what travel agents are sensing from their clients).
