Thumbs up Another 26 story tower on the waterfront?

Apparently now the SWWTU (seamen and waterfront workers trade union) has released RFPs to "to design and construct its 26-storey head office building."

Apparently this is to be on the site of SWWTU hall which is directly adjacent to the waterfront project.

New building to add to the skyline if this comes through. Am a bit skeptical though.

That should be interesting to see. It seems like they're all stuck at 26 though...

hahaha

That is one weird looking awkward box of a building. At least it's far away from the downtown skyline. Who knows maybe it may grow on me........

Did construction start yet or is this just proposed?

it's 60% sold out already...so i think it's past the proposal stage of development

but don't know about the construction phase

I really like the concept but I don't like the design, all, looks like it was supposed to take inspiration from the old colonial homes, which look better

Hi tdad&tgo...glad you joined the group

I think you can only post images from web links...so if you have pics on your pc, you'll have to upload them to a website like flickr.com and then you can post them to this site from there.
you'll have to right click on the image you want and then 'copy image location'...then you can paste that link to the 'insert image' option in the reply section.

hope that didn't confuse you more ... good luck and can't wait to see your photos

Hi tdad&tgo, I had the same problem when I first started posting here. Just follow these instructions to post pics and you'll be fine.

Really? didn't think it could get much worse than that. They say its Sahara dust, from the desert mixed with smoke from brush fires.
