i think it has a cold atmosphere.
When you compare to velstins or Lille & Solna ones you see that amsterdam is a little cold. |

The outside looks terrible, looks like a spaceship landed in the worst hood in Amsterdam, De Bijlmer. It doesn't look like a football stadium at all, more like a kind of music hall. To much concrete and boring grey colours. Inside it looks like some kind of rainbow stadium, stands to far from the field. To steep stands and the colours of the seats like I said, rainbow. Ajax is red and white, Amsterdam is red and black. But you see all colours in the stadium, blue en green? That's not related to the club or city. So I think this stadium isn't good at all. Also many Ajax fans share this opinion.

According to an interview in 2009 the seats would be replaced in 5 years (2014). The current seats look worse in pictures, than reality. On gameday, when the seats are full it is amazing. Outside is not too bad. Much better when lit up at night though. I wonder what they could do to make it more visually appealing?

Ha, I remember when this stadium was opened in the mid '90s, and everyone couldn't stop on how amazing it is. Guess that's how progress can make something groundbreaking to become obsolete in short time these days... I still like the design of the interiour, and I never felt it "col", mostly because of the Dutch fans.

Yeah, I remember watching Euro 2000 and this stadium amazed me alot (even tho I was just a kid back then). To be honest it needs some work done, but its still a badass stadium.

![]() They are expanding the business facilities of the service building next to the stadium. Both the original building and the expansion look horrible imho, but with what is inside they can and will make more money. Soon to be opened:
