70 Castlereagh Street, Sydney Opening Hours Mon-Wed & Fri 10am-6pm, Thurs 10am-7pm, Sat 10am-5:30pm, Sun 11am-5pm Sydney's flagship Chanel store reopened last week on Castlereagh Street after a six month refurbishment. Unfortunately, the original double height facade and full glass cladding of the tower above has fallen by the wayside. I'm disappointed in the exterior as a result. Renders for the new Chanel Flagship store in Melbourne, the store will feature 3 stories of sales space, whilst the 4th (top floor) will be for staff/amenities. Currently undergoing extensive renovations, with the store fit out to be started right after the facade is finished. Chanel will move out of their Collins St space at The Westin Melbourne and move to their new Russell St address, an interesting move as most prime luxury retailers prefer a Collins St address, however maybe due to the lack of a suitable/large space, Chanel brought this site for about 9m to expand its presence in Melbourne.
