I just don't see this tower being 1001 metres from looking at photos at newspaper article above. Maybe because of high rises around it or even 2 wings on sides make it wider making it look shorter. However it does look very very tall looking at it with imagining no 2 towers on either sides, just really narrow and tall middle part.

This is really a non sense to me :

1- 132 Billions us dollars with an expected pop arond 700 000 in KUWAIT is not duable .

2- No one can compete with Dubai the aura and the brand Dubai is already well established and even with a taller tower with crazier projects Dubai is and will be the place of all the excesses . They are 20 steps ahead .

Competing with Dubai in the Persian gulf is suicidal .. and there is imo humble opinion no internal need in Kuwai for such a disproportioned project

Its actually US$66 billion, and for the population of 700 000 richest citizens of Kuwait, why not?

FIRST : look at the previous page it s Ģ66 billion in STERLING wich is 132 BILLIONS in US DOLLARS

SECOND: Do you have any idea of the total population of Kuwait ? I guess not so let me answer that question : 3 339 000 ...

is that clear enough ?

Yes, well, I didnīt mean the overall scenario. I was more referring to the specific construction phases, that is, if there are any of course.

Why this thread is called The City Of Silk? The tower is called differently as the old title used to be (long time ago).

i am very confirmed that perparing the area for the projects is in progress, however there are various opjections facing these projects sutch as invironmet authoriti ,parlimentary monitoring but the most important proplem
is kuwait oil company because they said that under this area containes the largest hevy oil reservuar ever in the world.
