Did you even try to think your statement through?

$10,000 is petit cash for oil sheikhs. I don't see anything wrong with my statement. These are people who think nothing of buying 20 gold plated Rolls Royces.... building a $10,000 model would only lull other wannabe developers into a false sense of security when designing their world beating towers

Slightly disappointing if true.

^How the hell can that be dissapointing? That's 2,470 feet, 800 feet taller than the current number one. That's a huge building.

Is there and error range in there, like +/- 20m? I got 630m or so to the ceiling of the top floor (which turned out to be 161) and it would be a hassle to change my model at this point.

Well, obviously it will still be a MASSIVE building... but it's been hyped up so much, you know, everyone keeps saying it'll be 800m, 900m or even a kilometre tall, so - yes - 750m would be slightly disappointing, based on what we've been hearing.

I guess if I had listened to those sources, I might have been a little dissapointed, But I've stuck to official sources (Adrian Smith, Doka, that Dutch subcontractor working for Samsung).

So I hear you.

Any extra height thats been added to the tower since the original renderings came out has all been in the spire. If you look back at all the renderings the bottom 2/3 of the building has always looked the same, it's only the spire that's been changing.

anybody who places aesthetics over statistics cares about the spire, it would be very dissapointing if the building stopped to abruptly
