bellisimas las fotos de Nicaragua, por favor muchacho rezen para que por fin pueda ir a Nicaragua, este año, yo estoy rezando como loco, quiero conocerlo de verdad, otra cosa alguien me puede decir que es la Pitahaya, me parece un kiwi pero rojo.

Pitahaya es una fruta, del cual se hace un jugo riquisisisissisimo! no se si existe en otro lugar fuera de nicaragua...

si partis en dos la pitahaya se parece a la contextura de un kiwi, aunque es mucho mas grande y mas jugoza...

Usualmente se hace con limon! Riquizima!

Correccion... La pitahaya es nativa de Mexico, Centro y Sur America, tambien crece en Taiwan, Sur de Asia, Malasia, Sur de vietnan y China...

Hay varios tipos, verdes, rojas, amarillas, hay rojas con carne rosada/blanca, la de
Nicaragua es Roja, con carne roja.

The pitaya, also known as pitahaya, dragonfruit or strawberry pear is the fruit of several cactus species, especially of the genus Hylocereus. Native to Mexico and Central and South America, these vine-like cacti are also cultivated in Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, South Vietnam, and the southeast coast of China. They are also found in Taiwan.

Fruit

The fruit comes in three types all with leathery, slightly leafy skin:

* Hylocereus undatus, white flesh with pink skin
* Hylocereus polyrhizus, red flesh with pink skin
* Selenicereus megalanthus, white flesh with yellow skin

The flesh, which is eaten raw, is mildly sweet and low in calories. The flavor is sometimes likened to that of the kiwifruit. The fruit may be converted into juice or wine; the flowers can be eaten or steeped as tea. Sesame seed-sized seeds are embedded throughout the flesh. Although the tiny pitaya seeds are eaten with the flesh, the seeds are indigestible.

The red flesh variety is believed to be rich in antioxidants.

The bonsai version of pitaya plants can be found in flower markets in Taiwan.

Aqui en SD tamboen hay pithaya pero es blanca.. y casi no tiene el mismo sabor k la rojal.

UTA!!! que buenas fotos las del volcán...
Decime y en esa parte del hervidero se puede caminar o es como lodo y se coce la pata "de plano "... es decir se ve que estabas a casi 30 cm de los lodos hirviendo?
y lo otro las fotos del volcán las tomaste al atardecer o al amanecer...a mi me da la impresion que subiste 2 veces???

El lodo es muy caliente para que te metas ahi ....

La gente usa el lodo para untarcelos en la piel, pero dejan q
se enfrie un poquito..

lo del atardecer/amanecer.. es una sola subida.. la noche se la pasaron
ahi arriba del volcan!
