I also liked this list:
Ranking Robert A.M. Stern's Contributions to NY and the NY Skyline (Curbed NY)

Even the smaller ones can be real eye-openers... 20 East End Avenue

Damn, those renders are still so gorgeous: Robert A.M. Stern's 220 Central Park South Tower, Revealed!

I'm actually not feeling the Nordstrom Tower anymore. It's too chaotic and not in a good way.

Honestly from the initial massing renderings to this! This is pretty awesome!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but whether you think 432 Park Avenue is beautiful, it's painfully obvious from any perspective that its disproportionate form for height is an eyesore from every perspective.

Nordstrom Tower pisses on 432 Park Avenue, although I'm somewhat disappointed that it looks basically the same as the unofficial renders. It's not a bad-looking tower, but still is my least favorite compared to every other NYC supertall currently under construction.

If postmodern architecture is considered ugly in relation to the classical buildings it imitates, then 432 Park Avenue is an abomination to the International Style of Mies, Bunshaft, and Harrison (i.e. the Mad Men buildings Stern is referencing and which I actually like).

Totally agree. Many of today's modernist buildings are an abomination of what Bauhaus, De Stijl, or the genius of Frank Lloyd Wright had in mind. Perhaps we really should stop calling them modernist, to avoid befouling the original style. But admittedly I'm in lack of a better word for foozled stuff like 432 Park Ave. I mean, what "style" is that... No style whatsoever. Crapitecture, that's what it is definitely imho.

New Looks, Details For Staten Island's Anticipated Apartments

Quote:
"If you build it, they will come," said no one ever about Staten Island, but that's not stopping a handful of developers from believing it. Construction on the borough's north shore has picked up as prices in Brooklyn and Queens continue to rise. Lighthouse Point, a mixed-use development coming to the landmarked United States Lighthouse Service Depot in St. George, has been in the pipeline since January 2014 but hasn't made a whole lot of progress. The Times says that, after a delay, the Triangle Equities development will break ground in late summer on a 12-story, 116-apartment tower that will have retail, restaurants, and offices. The project will also include a 180-room hotel whose lobby will be housed in one of the historic lighthouse buildings.

Upper West Side Development

210 West 77th Street

Quote:
A new sales team and an interior redesign is all that Naftali Group's new Upper West Side condo development needed to jump-start sales. In stark contrast to its initial launch last year—when the apartments sat on the market for several months—within the past 11 days, nearly half of the units have gone into contract for a total of $70 million.

The developer first launched the 25-unit building at 210 W. 77th St., between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue, in September. But after nearly four months without a single sale, Naftali pulled the apartments off the market and shut down the project's website. The lack of interest was partially due to the slowdown in the luxury condo market, resulting from a glut of pricey apartments that gave buyers more options.

Wow. What a fantastic timeless design. If the materials are of the high quality the renders suggest, this will be an elegant eyecatcher!

Agreed, great design. Don't like balcony barriers tho, they remind me too much of typical postsoviet commieblock:

Err... More like French balconies.

https://softplantuts.com/forum/SoftP...French-Balcony

But yeah, there could be less and thicker props, would suit the bold design better.
