In the last year at least two people who take shots like this have died. We should not give an audience for these lapses of judgment.

Sorry to be the spoilsport here.

With all of these new towers coming in I wonder what the NYC skyline of 2050 or 2100 will look like.

Someone really needs to consider building a supertall on the upper side of Manhattan, just imagine viewing Central Park, Midtown and lower Manhattan from one perspective.

Great city, great new architecture and great dumb destroyed old great architecture example: 74 Trinity Place.

Should be the most severe punishment for those who destroy the old works of art (art deco architecture) and give consent to it.

People there say it'll take time until Harlem is gentrified enough, but I think it won't be forever until the first developer starts forcing the issue.

You never know, Harlem has been changing rapidly for the past decade, though it's hard to imagine a supertall being built there, such a tall tower would feel completely out of place in that neighborhood. Also, I doubt you'd be able to see Lower Manhattan from 110th Street, you'd probably end up catching a glimpse of 1 WTC on a clear sunny day, but nothing more than that.

Friends, feel free to join us in the NYC section. We're trying to keep up-to-date on as many NYC projects as possible. So hard to keep up! The section was revamped about a year ago so forumers have a dedicated and updated section for NY. See you there!
