This and 425 Park Ave are great examples on how to modernize existing properties!

streetscapeer, what's the address of this building? Renders look good, would enjoy putting them into context mentally.

Edit: Judging from the render itself, it's 390 Madison (47th & Madison).

Get yourself a book for a more proper definition of the term Neo, and then scroll the forums for a more precise definition of Art Deco, (please check out The Fitzroy), then you'll learn about postmodern architecture and ofcourse Neo Art Deco.
As far as my opinion on 220 Central Park South, it was discussed so many times on the forums, I'm tired of repeating my self, starting from the windows, the proportions, the 'mini me' below the tower, everything about that building appears messy to me.
As far as my opinion on Tribeca - 70 Vestry Street, I gotta say I like the proportions, I suppose there won't be any fake windows, there won't be a copy | cut 'mini me' in the lower portion of the building, and hopefully no precast. Remember I am far from impressed, I only spotted few improvements that's why I reacted. Am I clear enough? I'll prize The Fitzroy as long as the construction process flows, because I can say with a lot of dignity - a Neo Art Deco building is about to get constructed. You should see the materials which they'll use over there, I'm sure your architectural dictionary will improve, maybe even your taste. Ciao sugar!

Flatbush, Brooklyn - 123 Linden Blvd

See First Rendering of Innovative Mixed-Use Residential Tower Underway in Flatbush

Quote:
Construction has begun on a 20-story mixed-use residential tower at 123 Linden Boulevard —one the tallest and largest new developments Flatbush has ever seen. Approved building permits detail a 230-foot tall tower comprised of 384 apartments and community facilities on lower floors. The 375,000-square-foot development will rise on a parking lot between Bedford and Rogers avenues where a former senior care provider, New York Congregational Community Services, once sat. The organization will continue to operate their 200-bed nursing and rehab facility, only directly behind the lot, with its proceeds funding their core mission to provide high quality health care to the elderly and the infirm.

This area doesn't look like it would be more appealing with such (glassy, sterile) highrise towers.
What had to make way for this project?

It was a parking lot. The brick building behind it will stay

Thank you for that list. Itīs like LIC is getting two new skylines at the same time. The one on the east river and the one around the Citygroup tower. Amazing times for the city. Also Brooklyn will have several individual skylines. Even Manhattan is getting a new one in the two bridges area.

Beautiful building but wrong location. It doesn't fit in. That looks like a nice area as is.
