^ The smaller cake-shaped tower looks alright, but the larger one... What the heck are they thinking with these absurd proportions? Boxy top and slender, tapering base? It just looks discomforting and wrong. They should just flip the whole tower from top to bottom, then it might work out.

I really love how New York continues to develop other major urban nodes like Downtown Brooklyn, Long Island City, Downtown Flushing, Williamsburg etc. New York is really growing outside of Manhattan, whereas in the past the outer boroughs were kind of forgotten. The city becomes much more multinodal as the years go by.

Downtown Brooklyn’s Macy’s will sprout creative office hub The Wheeler
