It took them some time, but it was worth it Using only one crane to finish the job would take much more time. Great stuff Imre

I have a relative working in the adminstration in JLT project, she assured me that Almasah is not done at least for another 6 - 10 months. Maybe including the interiors work with that! so it will receive the NOC not earlier than summer 2008!

Thank you for this panorama of the entire Jumeira/Marina-skyline, Imre (the first I've seen so far)!
Almas Tower is actually dominating , although located further away than Emirates Crown to the right. This will continue in 2008, but in 2009 the Marina super-cluster should definatelly take the lead with Princess Tower and 23 Marina, and later on with The Pentominium .

Am I the only one that has noticed the concrete section moving up the left hand side of the tower is quite crooked in comparison to the right? I spoted this a few days ago and was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this...

I've noticed this as well and have no idea, especially for the overhanging edge in the lower part.
And the awkward looking side of the roof seems to be almost finished, except for the cladding, while there's much work to do on the right side.

It seams they are constructing the spire in sections at the ground level and then lift them in place with the cranes.

Great progress. When do people think the exterior will be finished anyways?

That's why they cover it with facade. Since these sections don't do anything except hold on facade, it doesn't matter if the edges are crooked. 'Twill all be smoothed over....
