If I understand it correctly...

There was to be one flaghsip tower in the development. This tower would be the tallest. This became Almas Tower.

All other towers are clustered in groups of three. The clusters closest to Sheikh Zayed Road were limited to 35 and 40 floors (two towers with 35 floors and one tower with 40 floors).

The clusters on the other side were limited to 40 and 45 floors (two towers with 40 floors and one tower with 45 floors).

See http://www.jumeirahlaketowers.ae/jlt...ctive_map.aspx for a map that shows the heights of the buildings.

The most surprising thing is that Almas Tower is the ONLY building in Dubai allowed to be occupied before the main construction work is completed.

Reminds me of Q1, especially given its context of being surrounded by shorter towers.

It seems there are still lots of thing to do with the construction. Some pieces of the facade is missing. Anyways, Almas tower looks cool from the bottom.

Are those Sumac trees lining the median?

It is so nice to see ground-level views. We see skylines and aerials too many times. It is great to see the same thing from a different perspective.

true, and to me it seems the construction halted or was slowed down a lot. The tower is in this state for at least 4 months now.
Can anybody confirm this?

No halt or anything, they just reconsider the priorities: Instead of comp, leting the top and then the entrances (as it is usually done), they are doing the oposite considering there are already tenants inside.

When was it decided to change the design of the spire? It used to be like this:http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...lmas_Tower.jpg

cladding is very slow since the project manager of the Al Abbar Aluminium (Mr Florian) left the site.
