The sheer scale of Buildings in Dubai has got to be incredible, something that has to be experienced to be understood... great pictures from great angles

you don't need traffic lights on a roundabout, thats the beauty of them.

From what I've seen in renders and videos it WILL BE the most urban place in Dubai... in a few years! Only problem might be that they put all the stores in a Mall again, not in the street. So it won't be like a "European City" but quite good, I think...

The weather is not like an "European City" either ... but the majority of people ignore that when it suits them, but not when it doesn't.

not many will stop you from opening a store in the outdoor streets... but really good luck getting customers there
maybe having an out door downtown lifestyle is the main missing peace of Dubai city life right now,..... for some, it means everything in a city!
When the metro starts to operate, I have a great feeling that things will change and people will walk outdoor more.
You can still enjoy the best weather in winter season and have a great walk among the super tall shadows with many people walking around and nice outdoor cafes!

I love those lower level buildings, they look old and authentic from this far away.

This city's so kitsch... Well, impressive kitsch, I've gotta admit.

Anyway, the tower has an interesting shape, but I expected a classier facade suiting it.

Dubai makes me sick. But you have to be impressed and awed by what they have done and their architecture. It's absolutely amazing.

Come on, is not that you are not living in the UAE ... or if there is absolutely no street life here at all.

I don't know (or wanna know) about Sharjah, but in Dubai there is allot of street life, just not as much as in some other cooler climate places.

For sure, I'm Erbseman.

So you don't call this a facade? What's it then? A crapper, windmill, something to eat?
