I noticed that they are putting some kind of masonry over the concrete superstructure. Does anybody know if it is just formed concrete or solid stone of some sort?

those are the facade tiles for the concrete part.

this building is awesome,it has a presence of its own.......but however it is turning out to be very dull in terms of facade aesthetics.does anyone think so as well?

When it's done the effect IMHO should be good.

Part of the problem is that the tile cladding is more or less the same colour as the raw concrete slipform, which isn't very interesting. Some of the earlier renders gave the impression that the cladding was going to be white or silver-coated, so the current "concrete-over-concrete" tiling does look dull.

Glass should have been more blue, Concrete should have been more white. That is hte problem. If they built it to look exactly like the rendering would be great.
Such a waste of Norman Foster's talent. I hope they find a way to fix this.

I am also disappointed that the concrete part doesn't have whiter cladding. But as you can see in the render, there will be more glass over the one that is installed at the moment. Maybe there's still hope for a more blueish cladding.
