Don't worry, you'll not be missing it when looking out of the window from your 59th floor apartment on the building just accross Doha Str.

Wow, its looking monstous in size :O.

I absolutely love it. Dubai, or should i say, Imre's photos of Dubai recently has impressed me more than the city has since i discovered all the Dubai construction boom a couple of years ago. Maybe that has to do more about my attitude than the progress

First off, i love this building.
Second, i think it would be really cool if they designed this building so a waterfall falls down one face. Not many buildings are built so that is even possible but this one is, and hell, Dubai gets another world record!

Ok, enough of my weird fantasy.

Anyone here bought into the Index? Is it going to have an unobstructed view of the Burj Dubai or is there going to be highrise development blocking it?

****, that's a great idea. Would be mighty impressive. Doubt they'd ever do it on this one (wouldn't it need to be constructed differently or retro-fitted to prevent excess wear and tear from water-flow?) but to see that on a building would be pretty sweet.

Unfortunately I can see the maintenance costs being prohibitively high. Can you imagine the power consumption required to pump such volumes of water to such height? Also, having such a huge surface constantly humid would promote fungus which would need to be cleaned and which could create a health hazard. Also the wind would have a strong impact on it...

Yeah! It's still hard to think I will be looking down on what's already built here from my apartment....(that is until someone comes along and builds something even bigger in between!

I really love this tower....it's the Arnold Schwarzenegger of buildings.
