I have no idea which material was used but i am sure that its not plastic. Plastic can easily deform under the hot sun of Dubai.

Though I agree that it's not plastics, your statement isn't entirely accurate. Look up the difference between thermoplastic plastics and thermosetting plastics.

I agree with Altin though that it's some kind of stone or concrete based cladding.

A few days ago I reported that the formwork was being removed and then I edited my comment. Today I can confirm that the formwork is removed from the 2nd pillar on the SZR side.

yes, same week Trumptower in chicago also reached 300m.

id liked to see a graph on supertalls built per year, since the first supertall (chrysler 1930).
I reckon we all would be stunned by current era.
maybe ill try to draw one up if i get time over next week.

An earlier post of mine below. Someone even saw a big piece of formwork falling down the building. Hopefully no one was hurt in the ground or on the top.

Wow! this thing is massive!!! I love it's design, but in my opinion if it were, say....60 metres taller, it'd be PERFECT!


But i still think it's fu/king awesome!!
