i absolutely love it how this building stands on an angle to SZR and not parallel or perpendicular to it. Its position really highlights its stature and size. Well planned

Because of the location (in the middle of a huge, un-accessible construction site), even we in Dubai don't really realize how big this monster really is.

Great design, Foster did well as is often the case, though Woods Bagot (if I think it was them?) didn't do a brilliant job on the finish.

Wow. That building has authority. I want to say it echoes what some of the architecture in Egypt must have looked like during the time of the Pharoahs.

Outstanding piece of architecture. I'm sure it's even more inspiring in person.

that in my opinion is the best angle to view this building, it looks even taller than it's true height. great shot

Yes you could call it that. It is all pretty shapes and patterns. It has a interior that looks like it's designed by someone on LSD. The building construction and shape has nothing to do with the interior, it is simply a graphical statement, for millionaires that should probably still be in kindergarten.

The Index is restrained, communicates what it is doing structurally, carries out a number of uses. It is not a piece of statement architecture. It's design comes from what its function is, it is placed on the site due to its relationship with the sun and surroundings.

So I am going to stick with my original statement, thank you very much.
