Still can't understand the logic behind the cladding of this building. And the latest updates show a rather cheep-looking cladding on the top floors too. I guess we have to wait

Noooo Student dude. Just finished 1st year so a long time to get yet!

And id have to agree the top part is awful in terms of cladding. Its as though they have run out of money and are just throwing anything together!

i like this building, has a sense of timelessness to it, ancient and modern at the same time.

I just realised something, they're cladding over the 'holes' in the middle... I thought those were going to stay open?

I think from the front and back side on the top the cladding will go along with the building cladding and it will ease the over all of its total image. lets wait and see!

Sadly, this building looks worse the further it progresses. For a building touted as "simple" and "modern" it is starting to look awfully tacky. There are far too many different styles of cladding on the upper and lower floors.

I wonder if this building will wind up looking anything like the renders??? I almost feel sorry for the people who have purchased apartments in it, but I guess they are still alot better off than I am!

I think you forget what a great view they get of Burj Dubai!
Once it is done, I am excited to see what it looks like at night when all the lights are turned on in the building.

LOOL looking down from the tower is nothing compared to looking down from BD. But looking at BD from index when BD is finished will look amazing.

Ugly but very imposing with its diagonal angle.

The white horizontal bands at the top appear to be temporary plastic protection stickers. Once removed, the greenish glazed cladding should create a more uniform look. Correct me if i'm wrong

sorry to say but it is truly ugly, probably one of the worst in the supertall section (at least for now). Way too much concrete gives it the look of a taller version of some of the buildings that went up during the last century in eastern europe, or like a building for the poor built in the outskirts of Rome and Milan.
One big disappointment.

That concrete/panel look makes it look as the modern version of the government commision housing in Redfern.
