^its a great design BUT way to big for Australia. At 328m it would be tallest building in Australia.maybe if it was say 250m it would be ok.even then it would dominate most oz cities. maybe 200m would suit?

jhalsey: I wouldn't say too tall for London after all there will soon be the Shard which is only 20m shorter than this building at 308m.

I do however think lLndon has its fair share of minimalist and brutalist buildings, would love to see more 'elegant' buildings for the city, rather than the boxy functionalistic style of minimalism architects seem to have been building for the last 40 years, with the possible exception of building like Lloyds and St Mary Axe.

i don't like the design, but its a bit more traditonal of a design, which makes dubai look a bit more like a real city

It looks so outdated... That's what a 5 year old skyline needs. In 20 years when the whole city looks out dated and so 2000's because they haven't built any new supertalls for the reason that their building boom is over. It's going look even better, then it does now. Some people like buildings that have a "real footprint" unlike most of the buildings in Dubai. Very unique structure... I LOVE IT!

Does anyone have night pics of this? Minimalist in design, but, in reality its a beast. Very cool, imo.

Ironic, considering that were the Australians at Wood Bagot who screwed up the original Sir Foster's design to what is now the final product.

A lot of people have mixed emotions about this building, but I love it! It's brutally awesome!

if you stand near burj khalifa and turn left you can see it between two other skyscrapers. behind a bit of dry and sandy air it looks simply amazing

The park towers look actually quite nice. Too bad, the neighborhood so so ugly.

This tower is a big disappointment for me. Too much concrete.

It's a great contrast to all the tall, thin, square glassy on SZR and Marina (enven though it's not near the marina).

One of my Dubai Favorites!!

The Index fits well into this fabulous night picture, that can be zoomed in at gigapan.org.

I would agree. It adds a bit of well needed seriousness to Dubai's skyline. It is a tower designed for its environment. An intelligent solution.
