The developer had dumped Australia's MULTIPLEX as main contractor, opting for a local contractor (DCC) instead.

The ever-rising cost of construction and materials are having the effect.

i think i'll stay around the dubai threads because the liverpool section is corrupt with idiots and i am going to dubai next week, Good job they dropped Multiplex, they have taken 16 months longer than they should have to build Englands new stadium, you would have an apartment on the palm before they finished with a high rise, decent tower though, as with most dubai scrapers

Duplex means that the apartment has 2 floor, and three of the 4 bedrooms are on the upper floor, while what was posted there is the lower floor.

However you can find all the floorplans on the tower's website

they are working in whole GCC.

i don't know how fast or good they are but experience should be given.

they did chelsea tower and are involved in Dubai Pearl, and i think they also did Emirates Marina...

Multiplex UK are a different firm to Multiplex Australia.The Multiplex in Australia are a fabulous builder and have built most aussie projects in past 20 years. Never any problems. always quality.The Multiplex UK has been a debacle with wembley. glad it has nothign to do with the Aussie firm.

Dubai Civil Engineering awarded the over half billion dirham contract for construction of the project
October 3, 2006

Dubai Civil Engineering is a part of the Al Hamad Contracting Company, which is one of the leading companies engaged in the construction of residential and commercial buildings in Dubai, the Northern Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain and Kingdom of Jordan.

The enabling (substructure) works was awarded to Swissboring Overseas Piling Corporation Ltd. who have ensured that the piling works have neared completion. Hafeez Contractor’s from Mumbai, India, were the concept architects for the project, while KEO International Consultants are the lead consultants, under the guidance of Paul De Vylder, Regional Director, who has taken the project further ahead to realize the above dream.

M/s Kulkarni Quantity Surveyors who have been associated with several landmark projects in the UAE, have been chosen to carry out the post-contract Cost Consultancy and Cost Management Services for the project. richard, they are both owned by MXP and report direct to Perth, same as the UAE and NZ divisions

Yes indeed, and the losses from the Wembley stadium job were affecting both their balance sheets and share prices in Aus.
