Looks nice, but the Baltiomore right on the first pic is an very old render

I thought Baltimore would be about 170m? I know it's the old desing on the first pic, but it's smaller than 'The Rotterdam'!

I slowly kind of managed to get used to de Rotterdam, but still I'm not convinced about the location. Not sure if it's the right one for such a massive building.

Mid if I'm correct! If they want, they should be able to start within two months even but they need to find someone to build it first.

It was quite a nerve wrecker due to the crisis, but this one has been given thumbs up!

The article in short:
Next year december at latest, construction of 'de Rotterdam' will start on the Wilhelminapier.
The 140 m tower with 160.000 m2 will be finished by 2013. The involvement of new partner Amvest
did it.

procent verkocht of verhuurd.” Zo is ook het hotelgedeelte en de
helft van de kantoorruimte van de hand gedaan. Hij noemt het
doorzetten van de bouw een gewaagde stap in deze economisch
moeilijke tijden. “Maar wij zijn zeer positief.” Wethouder Hamit Karakus
heeft zich persoonlijk ingezet voor de start van de bouw van het
complex. De gemeente gaat 25.000 vierkante meter huren om
de diensten die nu onder meer op het Marconiplein zijn gevestigd,
onder te brengen. “We hebben in gesprekken aangegeven dat als er
niet gestart zou worden, we deze vierkante meters ergens anders
onder gaan brengen.” Karakus benadrukt het belang van het
gebouw voor de ontwikkeling van de Wilhelminapier. “Wij gaan
starten met de aanleg van parkeergarage Wijnhaven. Bovendien
kunnen er op dat stuk slechts twee bouwprojecten tegelijk
plaatsvinden. Als deze af is, kunnen andere projecten ook
weer aan de slag.” Over het gebouw zelf is de wethouder
erg enthousiast. “Het is een nieuw icoon voor Rotterdam.
Dit laat zien dat we ook durven in moeilijke tijden.
