Of course not, but it is possible that we didn't know the height before.

is it possible that the developers dont figure out the actual height before they start?!

the tower has been redesigned, probably the old height was 301m. and when you compare the construction with the new renders you can easy figure out that it will be much taller than 301m

i worked out the roof is 301m. sometimes devlopers/architects quote roof heights firstly. the architectural feature above is an additional figure that is finalized later. ive estimated it to be approx 345m. will be interesting to see how close i am.

no , the spire counts also, except it is an antenna, but that's very unlikely

the mechanical floors are 5m and typical is 3.6m there are 70 typical, 3 mechanical
1 ground floor and 1 mezzanine at 5m. The crown on top is 70m,so the official height is
342m.These figures haven't changed, though the curtain wall design has. They are approx 1 month away from instalation.

Very interesting!
Thanks guys for clarifing the height point.
I still find it strange that the developers dont announce the height, because when its done it will be one of the highest 20 buildings in the world and thats really big!!
So what about the brother tower Khaled Al Attar? is the height changed too?

Even though the tower isnt completed yet, it fits the Sheikh Zayed road very well.

Imre took updates and psoted on flickr (alrewady posted on the UAE section).

I can't see the posted flicker's pictures and I don't know if they show this, but the cladding has started and has progressed in many floors. The glass is yellowish with a reflection of green. However only balconies and windows have been cladded, not the bare concrete part.
