That building looks absolutely horrible. There seems to be no coherent design whatsoever. A part of the facade is entirely cladded, another has regular balconies, yet another one has balconies over 2 floors...

Have you thought of the possibility of different uses for the different sections of the building?

They should just keep the roof flat. It looks different that way compared to the others.

They are doing some work on the roof after years of doing nothing, but I can't tell if the crown has been deleted or is still going ahead.

If this 342m tower would be build in London, NY or Frankfurt, I'm shore we had a lot of comments like "woooow" ...

^haha yea like "wow, how on Earth was such tall garbage allowed to be built here?"

There would be a HUGE outcry if this were to be built in those cities. Especially in London.

Everything would attract a huge outcry in London, I'm surprised how they were even able to complete the Shard .... and in record time by UK standarts.

Anyway, let's wait till it is completed (and cleaned up) and then give an educated opinion on how crap, or not, it would be.

Agreed. UNESCO/Heritage groups have too much power in western European cities. Just look at Paris. Tour Phare and Hermitage Plaza probably won't get off the ground for years if ever.

Wow I haven't seen this area of Dubai before. Looks very clunky but at least the buildings suit each other.

A collection of ugliness next to each other, but this one surely earns a nomination in the ugliest skyscraper contest.

Not as ugly as the little tumor next to it with the gold rings and the green glass.
