In my opinion they should build in N.Y.C at the ground zero site really the tallest tower in the world. For example a tower which breaks the mark of 1000m.That would place a statement.

On the WTC site, I doubt it, but somewhere else in Manhattan, maybe in a few years.

Nah, i don't think that will ever happen in NYC. Chicago has a chance though. Most people think of 9/11 when they hear New York, Chicago dosent give people those memories.

It's a very good Render i Think.
But the Other new WTC Towers look very high or not? 300m or taller i think.
Very Nice is the Tower on the Bank ( 80 South street, 255m and a very failed design).
is he under construction yet?

^ The height is good. WTC2 is suppossed to be around the 1300-1450 feet, WTC 3 around the 1200-1350 feet, and WTC 4 will be in the 1000-1150 range.

Do you mean the 'Calatrava-designed' tower?

Oh my bad...That is good, and I hope they have a good design. I did like the original contest winner design.

The render is very beautiful. But i think when the other wtc towers should be that high the freedom tower must be taller than 1776 feet.Do you think that they have plans to built the feedom tower taller. But keep that as a secret.

Nah, i think thats slowly starting to digress. It wasn't going to last forever.
I think of alot more things than 9/11 , when it comes to construction, building, and skyscrapers with ny , which goes for just about every other aspect of this wonderful town.
This is ny and when we boom, we build. Things are going well here, we have our problems but we also have many things we look forward to. I think it's not the fact that we don't build tall enough for some peoples satisfaction, or the nimbyism that has been going on long before 9/11 that makes people say the terrorists ( skells), win. It's that way of thinking that makes the terrorists win. I think 9/11 should be accepted not in vein, but more in determination not to let it happen again.
Do you think of Pearl Harbor every time you think of Hawaii?
It's so fresh in our minds... ny/Nola that we instantly think 9/11 and Katrina....
I say lets build ny , and right now thats what i think of.

To be honest I prefered the original renders of the towers with the slanting roofs, I'm not really a fan of box-shaped towers, no matter how tall they are.

Those aren't final renderings. They're just there to give a sense of what the height of the next towers will be like.

I like that render NYY. The other 2 towers (the abstract looking cubed one and the wavy Gerhy one also complement NY's more traditional look). I do prefer the slanted tops on the buildings but the new tall heights are good.

you ppl gotta remember these arent official renderings, just mockups of what to expect.

IMO downtown will have a better skyline than almost any other city, and with midtown, it will be the greatest skyline once again.

"The Freedom Tower will be the tallest structure in the world—at least for 10 minutes while somebody from Dubai builds a building that's taller."

Wow, is Silverstein smoking something? How can he STILL be saying that? How can this be? I don't understand.

That's not possible; the base of FT is still under the old WTC and there isn't even steel yet! Does this mean FT will be completed before BD or will it be higher? I doubt both. Why did he say that?!!?

Wow these pics are just bringing tears to my eyes to see NYC be brought up to its former glory.

ONE QUESTION though,

These buildings, is the Roof height reconfigured without the spires?

Like is the roof around 1300+ for the tallest building without the spire?? obviously i'm talking about the 3 other buildings that are not Freedom Tower.

Fordham Spire will likely be built before this is completed anyway, if they start when they say.
