HOW SHOULD CITIES HAVE EXPOS? DISCUSSION ONLY

Well, I propose that cities should be nominated...and that cities should be graded on three things:

Infrastructure
-How much contruction the host city is willing to do. Such as transportation, city growth, airports, roads, subways etc., EXPO area contruction. (i.e. how much will be worked on the EXPO pavillions area by the hoest)

Theme
-The overall idea that the host city wants to put out. And how much work the city is doing to try to attract forumers to that city. i.e.: Originality, Logo, etc.

Trust
-As host city of th EXPO, the mayor of the city and the city itself are intrusted with the candidacy and other cities are not able to host such an 'event.' As a result, the mayor needs to be trusted that he/she will go trough with the job and get it done.

Just some ideas... that is what I propose, I accept friendly ammendments and please discuss... this thread is for discussion... also, if you would like to nominate the next host city for the SIM CITY EXPO, please do so, so that we can have a thread of votes for later.

As for now, I nominate Muyangguniang to be the host of the next EXPO. Do you accept Muyangguniang?

You only have to add a monument or make a special thing or something??

well, some cities leave the EXPO parks for later use... for example, in paris the Eiffel tower was left after the world's fair...

in steps it would look like this:

1.A city gets nominated.

2.the city gets voted on

3.the city winds!

4.the city plans the area for the Expo

5.other cities choose a spot for their pavillions

6.you, as the mayor of the chosen city build the area with the requested buildings from the internet or from the game. The cities that get spots choose buildings by the way...

7.Voila! you have an Expo, report on it with pictures, innauguration, fireworks, fairs...and then after a different city gets the Expo nominations you can destroy or leave the Expo as part of your city...it's up to you...

that is how I envision it...or maybe we don't even have to vote...other players can just have expos and we can contribute to it... but the voting stuff is for extra interaction...oh I love the internet...it connects all of us together : the love for simcity, urbanetics and lots of fun...

I also think that after one city hosts one, another YEAR should wait until the city can host it again. This is a great idea, and I love it! This community feels so tight-knit, unlike ST, even though there are lots of different members on this sub-forum. The purpose, though should be to highlight new, up-and-coming cities of people's regions. Different, never-before-seen pics (not in a CJ) should be shown. It should just showcase either cities, towns, or neighborhoods of different regions. I don't think that every month a new region is needed, just a new section of a region. It takes me an entire weekend to terraform a region to my standards, so the same region should be able to be used each EXPO, but not the same pics/areas/etc. These are my thoughts, yours????

there is not much of the region yet, it's just a big idlands with some construction and some blank spots... I will post ASAP after sunday just so you can see though...but for now, it's still small

I know but I thought it would be cool if our cities were in the same "sim country". Your city will represent a Florida city and mine will represent a California one, you know. My city's name is San Angel, a combination of San Jose, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

oh ok that sounds cool i kinda did a city based on Los Angeles once and called it San Angelo i had the whole region filled but a virus got my computer and there went all my progress in sim city. Anyway sounds good maybe i will create a thread later "United Staes of Simnation" and have people join it my cities are southern like and there are a few cites like Victoria and New Baltimore that are northeastern, yours will be the west coast. We can eventually create a capitol city ill have to start a thread later with all the details.

very nice...hmm there are a few cities as of now that are 'candidate cities' I have already nominated one...so i feel like I can't nominate others...but i like your logo for the EXPO Giorgios, it's very original.
