I kinda wondered if it would be in the EUR area. I did a study abroad for a couple months one summer with an architectural group and we visited that area. Very much fascist archtiecture, strange buildings, monolithic in scale. I thought the area was very interesting though, as I have never seen one quite like it. Good news for Rome.

BTW, Is the picture you just showed of the square colliseum, or is that a different building?

If it's in the EUR then it is in character with its location which Mussolini started as the new Foro Roma back in the 1930s, his interpretation of the Ancient Roman Forum as the new heart of Fascist Rome. The style is a sort of shaved off classicism crossed with Early Modernism. Contextually, I would say it is spot on.

yes ,it's the square colosseum

it will become an archive and museum after the renovation.

it depends on the height of the floors It will probably be the tallest tower in Rome, unless Richard Rogers tower would be a few meters taller

It's good to see that Italy finally gets more highrise buildigns, but couldn't they come up with a better design?

Glad you added "contextually" there.

I noticed CAESARS-PALACe took away the renders. Seems like he may have taken away the candy from the chilldern because most of us didn't like it. lol

Hey I didn't get to see it

Anyways, this whole concept is rather unusual since its hard to imagine a skyscraper in Rome. If I get to see the render, I'll judge it for myself. Oh I hope its not boxy and white, thats one bad combination imo.
