Here's some more renderings of Signature Tower that have been released by the developer, Tony Giarratana.

Spire debate is endless...Many iconic US buildings have them. Key Tower, One Liberty in Philly, BOA Atlanta, Two Prudential etc all add 50-100 feet to total height w a narrow spire. Signature will follow this model. Do the spires detract to these postmod favorites?

I agree. No they don't. I think they add a touch of class in many cases. I take issue with the automatic notion of some that spires are some sort of a "cheat" . Signature Tower's spire is as majestic looking as any I've ever seen and certainly isn't cheap.

An example of a horrible looking spire is that "stick" on top of the planned Freedom Tower. Now that thing is a cheat.

Nice tower, looks sleek and interesting. The top resembles the Jin Mao a bit IMO, but I like it!

I couldn't agree more. The Signature Tower spire is definitely NOT a cheat. Tony Giarratana stated that he is spending approximately $7 Million adding the sprire to the top of this building. It's the spire that make Signature Tower an elegant structure, IMO. I think the spire on Freedom Tower detracts from that building.

Here's an update from the signaturetowernashville.com site. Three more units have been added to the reserved list. One on the 34th floor, one on the 43rd floor and one on the 51st floor. This raises the number of units listed as reserved on the website to 151. That's out of only 363 units listed for sale on the site, as some of the floors have not yet been included. This means that 41.6% of the units listed for sale are shown as reserved. Add to that the Hotel Palomar announcement, and the pieces are coming into place. All is well! Look for ground to be broken in January, 2007....right on schedule!

All of a sudden January 2007 doesn't seem so far away.

I will definitely be making a trip to Nashville, once the beautiful edifice is completed.

I truly love Nashville, but it really looks so out of place there.

From some angles it does, but I think that just makes it look even more majestic.

This building is approved. The Hotel component has been secured. It will be a 200 room Hotel Palomar. 151 condos have been reserved out of 363 listed for sale. Another 40 or so have been held back. The contractor has been chosen. Everything is moving forward just like clockwork. There is little doubt this project will be built. Expected construction start is January, 2007.

Also, I believe condo sales will begin next month. And also, gaushell from UP said to expect "more news" this week, so there's more to look forward to.

This is an amazing project, i'm glad to see smaller cities movin' on up, hopefully the notion of condo living will catch on and more projects will be started.

Here's another rendering of Signature Tower from Tony Giarrantana's website. This file was small, and I've made an attempt to post the redering larger. That accounts for it being a little unclear.

Sales start this month, so soon after that, we should see construction begin. It's getting close!
