What I meant was internationally. Nobody from another country is going to know that building, but we will know Signature Tower.

I love the new design. Especially those night renderings. I can't wait to see that view while driving up into Nashville.

I love this tower. I actually wish we had something like this in Toronto. A very, very nice looking building that stands above everything else, and away from the main cluster.

I was just in Nashville last weekend for the Ravens-Titans game and had a blast. We also went to the Preds game and every honky tonk in town...still recovering. Great town with great people and an unbelievable addition to the skyline on tap. Way to go Nashville!

That's a good solid tower. Almost too good for an obscure town.

my feelings exactly. Would fit better in denser city. Think taipei 101. Looks great though. What are the chances of it getting built? To height?

I think in these shots particularly the tower looks to fit in nicely. There are some other decent highrises, and some cities look very good with one 'signature' tower rising up. There is historical precedent for this also-look at Ohio alone. Cleveland had the Terminal Tower, Columbus the Leveque Tower, Cincinnati the Carew Tower. They dominated the skylines and did not look 'odd or out of place' to me. I think alot of it depends on the design of the tower and the general skyline though. This will look great in Nashville IMO. Also with time other towers will rise and help this building blend in even better.

I wish we had something like this rising in the middle of Downtown Columbus. *jealous of Nashville *

THis new tower is great, I love the design and theme running through it. I probably would have preferred a more golden colour (like the model) for Nashville though. In silver it looks stunning but possibly a little too futuristic for the skyline.

I admit this building would still look good in almost any modern city - it has a great presence and style about it.

This tower fits perfectly into Nashville. It will be the pinnacle of the skyline and the crown will look jawdropping. I dont know why you lot are all doubting it... Could spur on some more highrise growth too.

These colors in this new rendering are great. Is this what the color scheme is going to look like..with this kind of bronze/gold and gray? The redesign at the base is great. The top of the spire really looks like an obelisk. Love it.

Now that is one beautiful tower. The crown just makes it magnificent! The additional slots in the crown even make it more excellent. Wow next time I drive from Cali to Wisco I will have to take a detour when (not if!!) this is finished!

I think these changes are a great improvement to the design. The spire has also been modified to include holes in the fins to reduce sway in high winds. Here are the official stats for the new design:

Number of floors: 70
Height to top of spire: 1057 Ft 0 In
Height to top of 70th floor penthouse: 829 Ft 10 In
Total number of levels including underground parking: 82

I talked to a sales agent for the nearby Encore project (also being developed by Tony Giarratana) who indicated that the Signature Tower project already has 190 of 400 units reserved. A sales office for Signature Tower is slated to open in January. The project also has inked Hotel Palomar for the hotel on levels 1-13. Groundbreaking is expected in January 2007.

Here are some renderings showing off the new design changes.

Awesome. If it comes out like that I'd say it'll probably be my favorite American skyscraper. That's gorgeous.
